Sir,
With reference to previous correspondence
and in particular your letter of 17th August, 1937,
requesting on behalf of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club
a lease of Kellett Island, I am directed to inform you
that Government is prepared to grant such a lease on
the following terms:-
(1) The Lessees shall at their own expense surrender
Marine Lot 290 when called upon to do so by the
Land Officer.
(2) The Lessees shall be granted a Crown Lease of
Kellett Island as a Marine Lot. The lease to be
for the same term and to commence from the same
date as and to be subject to all the clauses and
covenants contained in the existing lease of
Marine Lot 290.
(3) The Lessees shall take up a Crown Lease for the
lot when called upon to do so by the Land Officer
and shall pay him there for the prescribed fee.
(4) The Lessees shall have no right of access to the
lot, except by the sea.
